Individual Counselling
MOUNT COLAH | HORNSBY | ONLINE
Sometimes life is hard because something significant has happened. Sometimes it’s the slow build-up of carrying too much for too long. You may still be functioning, but not feeling settled, connected, or like yourself. Individual counselling gives you room to step outside the demands of daily life and pay attention to what’s happening within you.
If you’re unsure whether a counsellor or psychologist is the right fit, you can read more about the difference between the two.
Anxiety, Low Mood and Burnout
Maybe your mind constantly scans for what could go wrong, or struggles to switch off. Maybe everything feels flat and heavy, or you’re running on empty. Burnout is not a personal failing. It’s often a sign you’ve been carrying too much for too long without enough space for yourself. Rather than only managing symptoms, we look at what’s underneath, so the change lasts.
Grief, Loss and Life Transitions
Grief can follow a death, separation, illness, relocation, a career change, or the loss of a role or identity. Other times, it’s a bigger transition driving the disorientation: a new baby, a move, an ending. I offer a place to feel what you feel without judgement, and to find your footing in what comes next.
Boundaries, Self-Worth and Difficult Relationships
You may find it hard to say no, feel responsible for other people’s emotions, or repeatedly put your own needs last. Together we look at where those patterns came from, and how to enjoy relationships that allow room for you as well as others.
Rebuilding Life After Domestic and Family Violence
Leaving or recovering from an abusive relationship takes enormous courage. You may be carrying fear, confusion, grief, or self-doubt, even after the relationship has ended. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to process what has happened, rebuild your sense of safety, and reconnect with your own voice and worth.
Being Neurodivergent
If you’re neurodivergent, diagnosed or self-identifying, you may have spent years adapting to expectations that didn’t fit you. I offer a low-pressure, person-centred approach that respects your communication style, pace, and way of experiencing the world.
Understanding Yourself More Deeply
Past experiences can continue to shape how safe you feel, what you expect from relationships, and how you respond under pressure, often without you realising it. We can explore those experiences carefully, at a pace that supports understanding rather than overwhelm.
