Supporting Adults, Couples and Families, Together

Timely, practical support for adults, couples and families, that leads to stronger outcomes for everyone involved.

I work alongside treating professionals to provide a focused referral pathway for adults navigating stress, grief, relationship strain, parenting difficulties, or a family going through a hard season, complementing the work of GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists, allied health professionals, and school welfare teams.

My role is to offer accessible, evidence-based counselling for life and relationship difficulties, and to communicate with other treating professionals where the client has consented.

Sessions are available in person in Mount Colah or online. I also offer workshops, parent groups, and professional development for schools and organisations by arrangement.

For General Practitioners

Helping people earlier, when and where it counts.

Counselling can be a useful pathway when a patient is distressed, depleted, or struggling to cope, but their needs don’t sit neatly within a diagnostic pathway. Common presentations include situational stress, overwhelm and burnout, grief and adjustment, relationship or family strain, and parenting-related anxiety or low mood.

Accessibility: Flexible online or in-person sessions in Mount Colah. No Mental Health Care Plan required, so patients can start straight away. Self-referral is welcome, and cost is comparable to a typical out-of-pocket fee under a Mental Health Care Plan. Parents can also read more about fees, GP referrals and Medicare rebates before booking.

Wait Times: Patients can typically be seen within one to two weeks, with no session limit.

Shared Goals: Available for workshops, parent groups, and professional development for your practice or community.

For Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Allied Health Professionals

A separate space for the adult behind the care.

You may see it in the waiting room, at pick-up, or in passing conversation: a caregiver who is clearly stretched thin, anxious, or running on empty. I offer a space for that caregiver to work on their own wellbeing, emotional patterns, relationships, and capacity, so they’re better supported while you focus on the care you’re providing.

Clear Boundaries: My work is separate from your care and is not a substitute for your recommendations.

Complementary Focus: As the caregiver feels more supported and regulated, your recommendations often land more easily and are easier to follow through on.

Collaboration by Consent: I’m always glad to communicate with the treating team where this supports coordinated care and the client has consented.

For School Counsellors and Welfare Teams

Parent and family support that strengthens the whole school community.

I support student wellbeing by working with the adults around them: parents and caregivers who are overwhelmed, navigating a family transition, or struggling with the emotional demands surrounding a child’s needs.

Complementary Support: I work with school counsellors and psychologists to extend the  support that schools are equipped to offer.

School Engagement: Available to speak to parent groups on topics such as understanding big emotions, nervous system basics, and building connection through difficult behaviour.

On-Site Delivery: I’m a certified facilitator of the Circle of Security© and Tuning In To Kids® programs, available as full on-site programs or adapted within individual sessions.

Referral Process

The client may contact me directly, or the referring professional may send a brief referral with the client’s consent.

Scope and Onward Referral

I don’t provide diagnostic assessment, medication advice, crisis intervention, child or adolescent therapy, or court reports. Where a person’s needs fall outside my scope, I’ll discuss appropriate referral or collaboration options with them directly.

My practice is not a crisis service. Anyone requiring immediate safety support, urgent psychiatric assessment, or crisis intervention should be directed to the appropriate emergency or specialist service.

Let’s work together

If you’d like to refer a patient, parent or family, invite me to speak with your team, or explore a school or professional partnership, I’d love to hear from you.
